Persistent Flagships
From Fleets Game Guide
Persistent Flagships
You can create multiple flagships in a zone. Persistent Flagships is a feature where you may save up to 5 flagships in your staging area that can be used across many different zones.
Basics
You may have 5 Persistent Flagships at any one time:
- 1- Your first slot to store a Persistent Flagship is by default open and unlocked to use.
- 2- 20 Metacredits unlocks this slot
- 3- 20 Metacredits unlocks this slot
- 4- Currently unavailable
- 5- Currently unavailable
Using the Flagship Panel you simply press the 'persist' button to have that specific flagship populate an unlocked slot.
Warping In
You may warp a Persistent Flagship from your holding into an active zone you are in, on any hex that you own. You must have an open flagship slot in that zone for the persistent ship to materialize [like 1/2 on your flagship counter]. You may warp in a Persistent Flagship using Flagship menu. Warping a ship into a zone takes time and resources as it is being sent from hundreds of light years away. The equation is:
- TIME [number of ticks] = (Production Cost [of your flagship type] / 500 ) + (Flagship level / 5 ) [rounded up]
- COST = # of Ticks [above] x (2500 Ore) (1250 Crystal)
[in other words 2500 Ore and 1250 Crystal each tick it is materializing]
Example:
- Scout Carrier (1000/500) + (level 22/5) = (2) + (5)= 7 ticks
- 7 x (2500 ore) (1250 Crystal) = 17500 ore 8750 crystal TOTAL COST
Retreat & Recover
You may retreat your persistent flagship from an active zone. You may also revive your persistent flagship if it dies in combat:- Persistent Flagships that are alive when a zone ends will be transferred back to the staging area for free.
Retreat:
Metacredits = 2.5 + (Level of flagship/ 10) [rounded down] [up to a max of 10 Metacredits]
example:
- Level 30 Scout Carrier = 5 Metacredits
- Level 100 Dreadnought = 10 Metacredits
Recover:
Metacredits = 5 + (Level of Flagship/ 5) [rounded down] [up to a max of 20 Metacredits]
example:
- Level 30 Scout Carrier = 11 Metacredits
- Level 100 Dreadnought = 20 Metacredits
FAQ's
Do I need to have a flagship slot open in my zone to warp in a Persistent Flagship?
Yes! The persistent ship acts like a new flagship in the zone you warp it into, so you will need a flagship slot available for the persistent ship to generate.
What happens if I withdraw from a zone with a Persistent Flagship in it?
Your flagship will be auto returned to your Staging Area.
Do I need to have the technology researched for the specific flagship type in a zone before I can warp in that type of Persistent Flagship?
No, you may warp in a Command Cruiser, Dreadnought, Supper Carrier...etc before you have researched the appropriate technology to build that ship type in a zone. This is one of the reasons why warping in takes several ticks and a lot of resources.
How do I replace a Persistent Flagship with a better one I leveled up in a different zone?
Once a Persistent Flagship has left active play within a Zone, it can then be Retired from the staging area. You may then Persist a different Flagship into the open slot.
If I spend metacredits to open up another Persistent Flagship Slot, its that for 90 days only or is it permanent?
Despite what the in-game link says, a new Flagship slot once opened up is 'for life' and can't be taken away.
