Persistent Flagships
You can create multiple flagships in a zone. Persistent Flagships is a feature where you may save up to 5 flagships in your staging area that can be used across many different zones.
Abilities
All flagships have activated abilities that they can use in a zone. These abilities generally consume energy when used, and provide experience to the flagship that used them, in addition to their other benefits.
Survey
Flagships can survey systems that they are in and next to. Through surveying, flagships are able to fully explore systems under their control. Each time a flagships surveys a system, it has a chance of discovering items or finding more resources in the system. Items found can be crafted into weapons, armor, and other equipment that increases the capabilities of a flagship. Discovering more resources permanently increases the raw material density in that system and allows a player to collect more resources each tick.- 10 Energy

To survey, select the 'survey' button in the bottom right commands box. Then select the hes you want to survey. The hex should halo white when you run your cursor over it to select it.
Scan
To scan a hex that is within visible range your Flagship must first have enough energy. Then you can select the scan icon in the bottom right command box. This will bring up a pop up menu on the right of your screen. Then select the hex you wish to scan. This should develop a report in your notifications.
You can tell how accurate your report is by checking the percentage accuracy in each report. To ensure your scans are 100% accurate you will need to upgrade your Flagship's engineering upgrade.

Items
Some Items can be equipped to flagships. You can send and receive items as gifts, store items for later, and craft smaller components to create products, like weapons. You gain Items by surveying with your flagships, you can also buy items from your Market. Check out the Crafting manager to view all of your items and do with them what you please!
Experience
Flagships can be fitted out with four different types of upgrades. upgrade points are gained through combat, surveying or scanning and upon doing these tasks experience is gained, more experience is brought in efficiently by having a flagship attached to a fleet participating in combat and destroying other players ship(s)/fleet in that combat, this is the best way to gain more experience to further enhance your flagship.
Upgrades & Flagship Types
Each Flagship can be individually upgraded once it has finished construction in each of these 4 categories. It is to the advantage of the Flagship to be upgraded in every category. You will notice upgrades is how your Flagship levels up and becomes more powerful. You can gain the ability to upgrade more by gaining experience and surveying.
