Races
Races were just added to Fleets 10/14/2010. Each race has 2 ship types that only it can build that are unique to that race's abilities. You may select a different race for each zone that you enter [or the same if you wish]. Create new attack strategies with each race. More features will be coming soon.
Race Descriptions
Derivian
Derivians are a versatile race that are neither outrageously fast nor powerful, but rather well-rounded on all fronts. Pugs are early tech versatile gunships and Katanas are late tech ranged frigates. Note: Pugs are a very general ship with decent speed and firepower. While Katanas pack a huge weapons punch with Tachyon damage and range. Derivians do not have access to Mauls, Persecutors, Widows, or Rippers.
Zallun
Zalluns strive to be defensive and heavily armored. Mauls are mid tech ranged destroyers, and Persecuters are late tech firing support cruisers. Note: the high hit points and weapons' damage of each ship. Both ships also move at the slowest speed. Zalluns do not have access to Pugs, Katanas, Widows, or Rippers.
Kitaran
Kitarans focus on speed and ranged weapons for their defense. Widows are mid tech light corvettes, while Rippers are mid tech medium build interceptors. Both move at speed 4. Though their hit points and armor are low, their cost is also significantly cheaper than the other race specific ships; thus enabling larger, faster, harassing Fleets. Kitarans do not have access to Pugs, Katanas, Mauls, or Persecutors.
